CHALLENGE
New process and mechanical equipment had to be supported inside a century-old, continuously operating industrial building — integrating new steel into an existing structure documented on mid-century (Magnolia Petroleum) drawings, without interrupting production.

APPROACH
As structural subconsultant to Page, M designed new equipment-support steel framed into the existing building and analyzed the affected existing members (wide-flange, HSS, and truss elements) for the added loads.
