CHALLENGE
An outpatient physical-therapy facility had to be placed inside an existing single-story commercial building near the Texas Medical Center, working within the limits of the in-place structure.

APPROACH
As structural engineer of record for the renovation, M assessed the existing steel-joist-framed structure and designed the modifications the clinical fit-out required, sealed by M's PE of record for the scope.
