CHALLENGE
An assembly-occupancy performance hall demands high live loads, a clear-span stage floor, and vibration isolation between a 1,200-person lower hall and a 200-person upper hall — while the campus spans a bayou floodway and incorporates an existing steel tower.

APPROACH
M engineered a long-span, multi-level structural system for the two-story main hall and rooftop deck, with structural isolation between performance levels, foundations coordinated to the floodway context, and surgical modification of the existing Raven Tower steel frame to introduce large arched openings without destabilizing it.
