CHALLENGE
The North Concourse is the secure, post-TSA airside of an operating hub terminal — long-span public concourse volumes (gates, holdrooms, concessions, apron-side circulation) delivered under a three-party United / Program Management / CMAR review and phased around continuous airport operations, to the 2023 HAS Design Standards and IBC 2021.

APPROACH
M engineered a structural-steel braced-frame lateral system anchored by signature long-span trusses — an SSCP truss, a lobby truss, and a Vierendeel truss at key concourse locations — with chevron and X-brace configurations studied and optimized through iterative drift analyses.
