CHALLENGE
Replacing rooftop mechanical units across nine existing Houston BBVA branches meant landing concentrated new loads on light open-web steel joist roofs — 16K2 and 28K6 sections — not sized for them.

APPROACH
M designed supplemental rooftop steel framing to carry the new units and distribute their loads into the existing structure, with associated enclosure modifications, acting as engineer of record for the rooftop supports.
